Mimi Butler – I’m a multidisciplinary artist based in Brighton.
My fields of interests are ancient landscapes, mythical beasts, folk & country lore.
I’m currently looking at the relationships of the land with historic uses through stories..
Bio
After going to art college, I worked in Theatre, before moving into designing in London and Edinburgh, I then studied at Dundee University DJCAD in Scotland.
My background is in animation, digital arts, research and broadcasting with the BBC, MTV, and others, In the past few years I have been working with creatives in the volunteer sector and curating exhibitions.

A visit to lewes Museum
I was lucky enough to be able to draw and record an early medieval head found in the grounds of Wilmington Priory in Sussex. I hope to create a textile work from this encounter.
