Ancient landscape series – I’ve been walking over the landscapes that are accessible in my area of Sussex and thinking about the land, the contours and a palimpsest of historical usage.
Field systems, barrows, roe deer skulls, map contours, forts, strip farming and barrows – hand embroidered onto calico and then padded out to show contours.
