Krampus & Child Lino print
This print is based on the old pre-Germanic pagan creature.
In my print he is taking his child to work..
The original name means “claw” – tradition has it that he is the son of the Norse god of the underworld, Hel.
Today he is aligned with St Nicholas and mainly scares children, if you are good he leaves you alone, but if you are naughty he carries you away with a big stick.
